Welcome and thanks for joining Trucker Notes! What is it? It’s like a virtual notepad for truckers, your own alternative truck parking locator based on player input. The info that you enter is for your own use only, which guarantees parking availability, unlike crowd-sourced information. Why do I need this? As you are probably aware, a lot of truck stops are charging drivers as much as $20 a night to reserve a spot. A lot of public rest places have been closed down permanently, and not much has been done to alleviate the truck parking shortage. We’re on our own with this problem and the Electronic Log Mandate has only created matters worse. How does it work? You simply drop markers on your secret places all around the country until eventually you have peace of mind in knowing that, wherever you are, anytime of the day or night, you will have an alternative parking place accessible to you. When you’re sitting at a shipper or receiver, take note of the parking situation. Do they permit overnight parking on their property? How about on the road? A lot of industrial places let for parking on the street. When you search these parking places, drop a marker on them for future reference. You can also drop markers on your favourite repair shops, fuel stops, restaurants and hotels. Only the territories that really stand out to you could be added, like that unbelievable repair store that got you in and out true fast, repaired your truck properly and at a reasonable rate. They would create the grade for a marker on your map. How about that excellent hotel that was pet-friendly, had a decent parking place, and the amenities that you prefer like an onsite restaurant/lounge and pool. They would create the grade also.
