Truth Social is a social media platform made by an American media and technology company. The Truth Social platform is based on Mastodon, a gratis and open-source distributed social network. Truth Social is modeled heavily after a lot of social platforms. Reportedly, players will be able to create posts ("truths") and share another players' posts ("retruths"). The platform will also feature a newsfeed, called a "truth feed", as well as a notification system. The Truth Social platform uses a custom ver of the gratis and open-source social network hosting software. Truth Social was launched with the claim that it would be a "large tent" platform without political censorship. The terms of service further added that players would be forbidden to "disparage, tarnish, or otherwise hurt, in our opinion, us and/or the Website". Truth Social said it has the right to "suspend or terminate your acc" and also "take appropriate legal action". Truth Social has blocked accounts for behavior it considers harmful or inappropriate, including creating accounts with parody names and making death threats.
