  Charles Thompson: A lot of the awful reviews are because the apk and speaker don't do what the player thinks they could do. That's based on comparisons with the UE Bluetooth-only speakers. The BLAST/MEGABLAST are Wi-Fi-first speakers (with Bluetooth) – various speakers entirely, with a various apk. This speaker's assassin feature is Alexa integration via Wi-Fi, whether plugged in or not. Like a wire-free Echo on steroids, musically and ruggedness-wise. That, it does beautifully. And on my Nexus 5X, the apk did an simple and thorough job setting up the speaker, even if that's beautiful much the only feature the apk comes with as of Nov 2017.

  brian marks: Could be able to double up never forget what created your Bluetooth speakers good... Letting the players decide what features they wish to use with an apk. Can't use with my mega boom or boom2. Assumed I wouldn't be able to use with my wonderboom because that wasn't awesome enough to receive an apk. Hopefully we can receive some updates and create this speaker good instead of awesome. Sound is good and features are mediocre.

  Rporras Ralph: Love my fresh megablast, sound is as expected. Hate the apk. For 300 plus dollars I expected an make batter from my ue booms, not the case. I know you have already heard the complaints so I'll be breif; no equalizer, no NFC, no battery status on the speaker itself, there is no indicator when max volume is reached on the blast itself, the power and minus sign held together took me on a 2 hr adventure to end up right where I started, can't link to 2 phones without problems, havent tried pairing with my another 2 booms but at this point i am not too optimistic and the Alexa tool sucks!

  Graeme Storey: I bought the Megablast over 2 weeks ago I place a help request in via email expecting a answer within 48 hours as per their site, over 2 weeks later still no response. I thought the updated apk might fix my problem which is i cant setup the speaker using my Samsung Note 4 but no I still can't set the speaker up using this useless apk. I have tried all their document fixes but still no joy for a speaker costing £270 I don't think I am expecting too much for it to work properly!!

  Graham The Nomad: Pathetic. Can't setup MEGABLAST speaker. Help useless. Assist request sent in and 2 days later still no response. Finally a response from customer care which may as well have been an automated response. Then a 2nd auto response to my answer to that email...then total silence for the past 4 days. Obviously either a robot or they don't read what the trouble is that you are having. 2 months on and still cannot connect to WiFi, UE help just sends me round in circles doing the same uninstall apk, factory restart speaker, test once more. Pathetic does not go far enough... If the speaker wasn't a show it would have gone back a long time ago. As it is it makes for a very awesome if expensive door stop !

  Latroy Tomlinson: Needs to have same features on the apk like the Mega boom. I have both but select to use Mega boom instead of Blast just for the apk settings. Needs to sync with another blast, boom speakers instead of just bluetoothing them together like the Mega boom does. Please fix these issues, one of the main reasons I purchased the Mega blast is because I thought it was going to do the same and much more than the Mega boom.

  Matthew Marsh: This apk is so awful it is the first apk I think I have left a review for. It wouldn't let me to connect my Amazon acc for Alexa kept saying Amazon shopping had closed why it was even trying to use that apk I have no idea as was expecting just the normal API site login to come up. Thankfully I have an apple (spit) device and shock; it all worked ok on my iPad. You companies really need to invest in your android device development. There really are more of us android device folk. Also why no Spotify yet! Come on.

  Matt Piccolo: Beautiful disappointed with this apk. My dad has two megabooms, and the apk they run through is unbelievable. You can turn them on/off, see the battery percentage, adjust the equalizer, and connect multiple speakers through Bluetooth. ALL these features are missing from the Megablast apk. Considering returning the speaker if these are not added soon. Is Ultimate Ears looking to add these features?

  jess hogfoss: So frustrated! I bought this because I was so thoroughly impressed with my mates "Roll" speaker. I should just imagine how rich this would sound. After HOURS (literal) of trying to pair it and reading troubleshooting advices. I have only heard the same 3 on/off/reset sounds and not a note of melody. My knuckles raw and aching, short of breath, I surrender.

  This was a waste of cash. Cant connect my speaker to the ultimate ears apk. Cant connect alexa. Cant connect my megablast or megaboom. Definitely returning this and ill be switchig speaker brand from now on. Ive had better luck with Large lots speakers smb

  Zachory Fraley: I bought the UE Megablast a few days ago. I have to say that the alexa apk is glitch riddled. Thats not my concern though as im more disappointed in the lack of apk help. No equalizer help! No ue speaker link help. No features from previous ue boom apks. I bought this speaker for its apk help, link capability and sound quality and they have all fallen short durcot lack of eq. I have submitted a help ticket but from reading the another reviews it looks a lot of others are also disappointed in the same problems with no fix currently accessible. Will re-rate if fixed.

  I have the Megaboom and love it, so when I saw the Megablast with Alexa it was a no brainer; however, the Megablast did not live up to my expectations. The apk sucks and I can not link up my Megaboom with my fresh speaker via the party apk which was one of the main reasons that I bought it and the Alexa isn't even working so I must return it. Please fix by 1. Making the Megablast pair with your another UE speakers that's on the party apk 2. Bring back the function control on the speaker where you can keep down the plus and minus buttons to receive audible power level 3. Improve apk. functions

  Lorenzo Juarez: I just upgraded to the MEGABLAST coming from the MEGABOOM & this apk is a DOWNGRADE! I used to be able to disable the obnoxious speaker sounds (like when it connects & disconnects via Bluetooth to my smartphone) & I can't seem to do that here. I used to have a EQ option on the MEGABOOM apk & it's gone here too. I used to be able to check the battery level by holding the "+" & "-" buttons on the speaker, well that is also gone here too. The MEGABOOM apk also had a built in manual within the apk that showed you all the controls & features - well that is gone too. ANYTHING ELSE you all wish to receive rid off? This excuse of an apk is GARBAGE!!! At least create the UE MEGABOOM apk compatible with this speaker so I won't have to use this trash apk!!!

  Robert T: I finally decided on upgrading to the Boom 2 after reading numerous + reviews. However, I wasn't even aware that the Megablast existed. After hearing both side by side the Megablast got the victory! Now the awful points...I can't receive the Apk to recognize the speaker, Bluetooth connectivity is buggy, the Charging Dock has cable connection problems & the speaker randomly powers on & off, at least while sitting on the Charging Dock... I emailed help 2 days ago with no response to date. I love the sound quality but if I can't receive the aforementioned problems resolved I'm returning it.
