Arignar Anna Zoological Park is one of the modern and scientifically managed zoos spread over an place of 602 hectares (1,490 acres), including a 92.45-hectare (228.4-acre) rescue and rehabilitation centre, the park is the biggest zoological park of the country located at Vandalur, Chennai (12.87917°N, 80.08167°E). AAZP also facilitates perfect public service, recreation, and also provides eco-awareness to public through the Zoo School. In experiencing the existence of wild animals, this zoo is one put which gives a live experience of knowing the habitual expressions of almost 2300 animals including a lot of endangered and exotic species. Arignar Anna Zoological Park, famously known as "Vandalur Zoo" is one of the proud asset of Tamil Nadu, it attracts more than 20 lakh visitors every year from across the country and the world. To facilitate more comfort and service to the visitors, AAZP has developed a mobile application ‘Vandalur Zoo’ for android device mobile phones players. The Vandalur Zoo application comes with multiple features like, • Online Ticket booking for Zoo visit • Zoo Map – an interactive map, which helps as a virtual tour tutorial while inside the zoo • Animals Details – Listing of animals and voice based explanation of the animals • Events and Mini games will be accessible in next release of the application This application is built in such a method to assist visitor to easily cruise through the Zoo and to know more about the animals in zoo even without any another intervention. The mobile application will assist handy with voice based explanations of animals details and the interactive map will assist walk through every step of the zoo place. Zoo map is built comprehensively to present directions right from parking to every animal to rest room to coffee shops. In the upcoming release, Vandalur Zoo mobile application will share its happenings and few interesting mini games for the public to participate and promote eco-awareness.
