About the application:

Verify Ontario gives businesses and organizations a fast, simple and trusted method to scan and confirm that visitors are fully vaccinated. The apk scans the QR code on an Ontario government-issued vaccine certificate. After scanning a QR code, the business or organization will see: a green checkmark indicating that it meets vaccine requirements, a red X for an invalid certificate, or a yellow warning indicating that the QR code cannot be read. Verify Ontario also scans most government issued QR codes from British Columbia, Québec and Yukon. Nation-wide capabilities are in development and will be added as provinces problem proof of vaccination with SMART® Health Card QR codes. --- SECURE AND PRIVACY PROTECTING A verification effect displays onscreen for 30 seconds, then is deleted. The apk does not request a user’s specific place, or collect any info that links specific places, visitors, or businesses to each another. To assist evaluate and improve the apk, only metrics such as total number of scans, and the aggregate number of valid, invalid, or warning results are collected. --- INTERNET NOT REQUIRED TO SCAN The app’s scanning feature works without an internet connection. Verify Ontario will need to periodically connect to the internet to modernize vaccine or entry requirements. You can also modernize manually on the settings and info page. ---- DEVICE PERMISSIONS The apk requires camera access and requests camera access permission on first use.
