  Shawn Crites: Able to operate my broken smartphone and most apks from PC. Perfect tech help helped to receive the apk (VMLite) onto my broken smartphone. My device will not communicate with shop, but tech help was able to force install. My smartphone (GS2) screen was ruined by water. Only a little portion of screen at top was working, along with the status bar and capacitive buttons. Touch screen (digitizer) does not work. The status bar indicated that the smartphone was started and mostly working under the ruined screen. This apk DOES require developer mode "USB Debugging" to be turned on. I was able to accomplish this using an OTG cable and mouse hooked up to the phone's micro USB port. I had to press the capacitive "Details" button, imagine the menu and take a blind stab (click) with the mouse to receive into settings. The "Back" capacitive button was my mate here - as it took a few attempts. Once in settings I should scroll using the mouse to search the appropriate menu item but had to do more blind clicking to search USB Debugging. Once it came to the top and I clicked where the check box was I had to do one more blind click to reply yes on a pop-up box. Now I can recover details from apks, receive screen shots, etc.

  A Google user: This tool is good. When you're sitting in front of a large PC with a large keyboard and mouse, there's no reason to have to fiddle data into a little device. And developer's help is unbelievable. This thing works from Linux too :-)

  Sanjeev Bathinda: I've got dual sim HTC Desire SV. I wanted to send SMSes from the computer interface from Sim2 (I was able to send SMSes from sim1 thru my PC, thru gratis the ware AirDroid from google play though). Moreover, airdroid didn't kept running in the background. And every time there was an incoming sms, I had to rerun the ware/interface from mobile first. In routine, this become an irritant. I tried tens of another gratis (and below Rs 100) alternatives, but none served me well enough. Then I took the hard decision and spent INR 475/- But IT WAS WORTH IT. Some issues though: A lot of times, to connect to PC I need USB cable connection first (I wished only wireless connection was enough). And after connection my smartphone become too slow.

  Stefaan Boonen: VMLite VNC Server works good on ASUS Tab TF300T and Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 ! I searched endlessly to search an option that should work ok on both devices. The ASUS unrooted smartphone proved hard until I found this gem. Thanks ! Never thought mirroring would prove posssible with an unrooted ASUS smartphone. Don't forget you need the USB (3.0) cable that came with the smartphone when connecting to the PC tool, otherwise it's a nogo. Once the Server is started it's Wireless (over Wireless connection) of course. It's magical. After searching for a solution for so long this is a Godsend.

  William Larson: Thanks for the good apk. Simple to setup and use. Love the toolbar at the bottom which includes the following buttons...back, home,home long press (running apks), menu, and rotate. Right click is back as well. The mouse wheel scrolls the screen (makes sense). I tried the video recorder and camera (didn't work) and couldn't review recorded video either. I have only been using this apk for a few mins so I haven't had a possibility to thoroughly use it but so far so GREAT! Well worth the price I paid, thanks once more!

  A Google user: Installed phone/laptop and connected Samsung S3 Note via USB, but install screenshot says; "no android device device connected"? Rebooted both devices but still not loading? Downloaded images from smartphone to computer to ensure the USB port/cord was working. It was so I emailed the developer. Talk about service and help - none better. My tech stuck with me until we resolved the problem via email. Good apk, super tech and developer!

  Craig Cole: Not having to root my smartphone was what sold me on this VNC server. I wanted to run a VNC server on my Android device so I should demo it at meetings by using a projector connected to a computer running a VNC client. It works perfectly and seems very stable. In my case, having to use the desktop apk to restart the server after shutting off the smartphone or after a (rare) server crash is not a trouble. The desktop apk works just ok. If you don't have a VNC client accessible, being able to use your browser is a very helpful benefit as well, but I got much better performance using a dedicated VNC client. (TightVNC in my case.) Overall, I'm very satisfied with this apk.

  Quatham Mumin: Downloaded this because I required to access my smartphone remotely in order to wake computers on my network. I was able to port forward my router to the smartphone and begin the wol apk to activate my pcs.. Good apk. Using desktop utility to begin server is no large deal. Price is kinda steep but don't mind paying when apks work awesome

  Mark Nadeau: Follow the instructions for the VMLite Android device Apk Controller tool but you need to add this step on the G2: when you plug in the USB cable and the connection kind dialog box comes up you have to change Internet Connection kind to Ethernet. Or go to: Settings - General - System - PC Connection - Choose USB Connection Way - Internet Connection - Ethernet.

  A Google user: This is a must have for any developer or someone who just wants to share the screen with others. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. It's the first one that's actually worked (without rooting). I have a 10" smartphone, so this really shines when viewed on my desktop. I've written a few times to the developer and he's been very responsive and detailed in his replies. Totally nice fellow. Of course, he said he liked my recommendations <smile>, so perhaps I'm a tiny biased now, although I do not know him another than from buying this tool. Using a VNC tool on my desktop (I use "TightVnc" - freeware), I receive a realtime copy of my smartphone either on my desktop directly, or in a browser. Combine this with one of the a lot of gratis desktop sharing programs/services (such as "Join.Me"), I can present my laptop screen to anyone in the globe in true time. It also means I can (using my desktop), create demo animations/movies of anything on my smartphone, either to present immediately or later. You can't imagine what seeing a working "live" smartphone screen looks like on a really big desktop monitor until you see it for yourself <smile> Obviously, I'm really really satisfied with this.

  A Google user: Using on an un-rooted Galaxy Nexus running 4.3. Host machine used for the "install" is running Fedora 15. A few key stokes and it was up and running. Very easy and simple to follow setup tutorial. Screen refresh is comparable to VNC across the interwebs rather than a local network.

  A Google user: This is the ONLY working vnc server for my LG Optimus Net smartphone. I have spent variety of hours trying EVERYTHING to receive mouse and kbd control of my smartphone via my pc. This is the ONLY apk that does it scuessfully. "It just works!!" Set it up in no time. This will change my workflow and I am forever greatful for this fabulous apk. Can't trust it is not better known because it is literally one of a type - the ONLY one that works on my smartphone! Works just good. Would give a dozen stars if I should! Thank you!

  Carlos Probst: Did the job - Well! I bought myself an Android device TV box running Android device 7.1 that I wanted to use as a server, which I can access remotely. After doing considerable research, this apk seems to be the only one that runs VNC server on Android device 7.1 , and it does it well. Setup was easy, and you can access the Android device desktop using any VNC viewer.

  Michael Harrison: Works good, expensive, but worth it for me. Back story: I have a NAS, I have a awesome but old 7.1 onkyo amp, I have an old HTC sensation laying around. I thought it would be simple to hook my sensation to the amp and stream melody from the NAS to the stereo. How wrong was I! I couldn't root the sensation as the power button wouldn't work once I finally got into the boot loader through tool (as the power button wouldn't work it would boot into HBOOT) this took about a week to explore. I couldn't control the Sensation by any means except for this tool. Thank you Dev's the apk works exactly as you described and I finally have my melody streaming to my stereo from my NAS and controllable from my PC. If you were near a pub I would buy you a beer or ten! Cheers!
