Wehrschach is an almost forgotten tactical chess like mini game that was released and promoted prior to the Second Globe Fight by the German Military to increase the interest in fight. It contains a lot of interesting fresh guidelines and brings chess to a fresh level of tactical planning. Played on a 11x11 squares board with 18 pieces of 5 various types each fight party strives to fulfill one of the different goals to victory the war. Will you aim to destroy the opponent infantry or to defeat their main base? Adopt your play to the tactic of your opponent and crush him. J S: Thank you for saving it into the digital age. Though the origins of the mini game are from a darker time in human history, TakTik / Wehrschach is still a very interesting ver of Chess. It is nearly impossible to search an original boardgame outside a museum.

Sven Lahann: It is an interesting chess variant. All chess mini games are more or less with a military background going back to ancient times.. Wehrschach reflects more the strategies of the modern age. The origin of the dark Nazi times throws a long shadow on this mini game. Nevertheless the strategies used in this mini game are quite up to date, which I can judge as a former officer of the armored infantry.
