  Christian Dysthe: This is my local NPR station but the apk used to be mediocre. After the modernize today it's excellent. You receive the news headlines and radio play button on one screen. The stream is rock solid. Bravo!

  Dave K: This is not a beautiful apk to look at, or use, but it does play wgbh like it says it does. The awesome point is that you can turn the screen off and still stream audio the awful point is that it lacks chromecast help (which all android device, audio or video, apks could have)

  A Google user: My use of the apk is mainly to listen to the Celtic Sojourn, a radio tool, while I'm engaged in another activities, such as dinner preparation. So, app's inability to cast the program's audio stream to better speakers than my phone has is a significant drawback for me.

  S. Joseph Hernandez: There seems to be no method of searching through accessible content. If you know the content but not the tool you need to wade through the tool listings manually. Rated 2 stars for the accessible content. This UI designed by jācapps needs a remake. The designer needs to take some chances and add some features. The current functions are sparse and chunky. There are a lot of awesome examples among public radio apks that create public radio a portable essential. This is not one.

  Bill Reyelt: Really like listening to Boston Public Radio (and WGBH in general) when I catch it airing but unlike the WBUR apk, seem to encounter nothing but issues with this apk. To start with, it shuts down when my screen goes to sleep or I turn the screen off myself. Also, once more unlike On Point (WBUR), no luck accessing latest episodes thru Tune-In.

  Stewart Randall: Before this modernize the apk would just randomly stop playing at least it would begin once more. Now it just crashes and stops. When the smartphone goes to the home screen it stops playing. If you playback a pre-recorded podcast and use the slider to advance it freezes. Epic fail wgbh!

  Richard Haggard: Works ok for a few mins then it stops. You spend a few mins getting back to the podcast that you were listening to and then after other 5 or 10 mins it stops once more. Repeat forever.
