About the application:

WristMap comprises a pair of Android device and Wear OS Apks that bring easy mapping capabilities to your wrist when offline. Both are designed for low power consumption. The wearable Apk can be used standalone. Offline map sets can be copied from the smartphone to the watch for standalone use, or the watch can work with an offline map set held on a nearby paired smartphone. Both Apks can work with online maps. KML and GeoJson overlays can be loaded to both Apks from the smartphone. WristMap offers a really big selection of online maps. The watch Apk contains a few useful watch face complication providers: Four formats of place - Lat/Lon, MGRS, British Grid and what3words (needs internet) AMSL altitude in feet or metres Sunrise and sunset in your local time 'Crow Flies' distance to home with metric or imperial troops Handheld Battery level. Current place can be shown as a point on the map on both the smartphone and watch. The watch and smartphone map's pan and zoom can be synchronised. A handy cross hair is used to receive accurate map places by tap. The place text, in the chosen format, is displayed and is copied to the clipboard. External storage read permission is required to access map archives on the handheld. Ok place permission is required to receive places on the handheld and watch. IMPORTANT The place , altitude, sunrise, sunset and crow-flies complications all need Place permission to operate. They will present a "No permission!" notice or a value of ! if permission has not been granted. Tapping the complication will enable the player to enable the Place permission. The complications also need place services to be enabled. On tapping the complication, the player will be invited to enable those if they are disabled. A further tap may be required to fetch a place and modernize the complication. If place can't be obtained the complications will present X or "Failed".
