The English 2 Khmer application for Android device is an Audio 3-way Travel Dictionary with integrated phrase ebook and simplified translator for simple use. It contains accurate off-line translation via voice recognition, but for the voice recognition to work, you must have it set on American English, not British. Android's translator works well for short sentences, but you're not going to dictating contracts or sophisticated text into it.The voice recognition isn't going to work in the bar with loud melody. Translations can be edited, played back as one sentence, saved and/or exported to another apks for text-messaging, bluetooth, email etc. This most latest ver contains Text-to-speech translation for english words. This allows you to use the autoplay features for lessons without looking at the english meanings on the screen. It's also useful for learning english for Native Khmer speakers. The translations of each word of all phrases are shown separately so you can understand them and verify the accuracy easier which is a vast improvement over another translators. It also has phonetic and Khmer find and browse features, (1,2,3) a question mode (Q) where all the content shows only English until you touch it, 13 subjects, adjustable speed auto-play, word analysis explaining characters,(if you wish to learn to read KHMER) a slide present feature for all content and 100 lessons, choice of colors, text size, lots of formatting and display options and more. You can find for translations by typing in a letter and scrolling, you can kind Khmer or English, or the phonetic Khmer sounds, or you can speak English into it. Look common phrases up by subject or browse the content. It's targeted for English speakers, but also useful to Khmer speakers.
