About the application:

Developed and inspected by Australian teachers, Koala phonics is a easy learning mini game for any kid who is beginning their learning of English letters and letter sounds. It introduces kids to English phonics focussing on letter recognition, correct articulation (how to say the sound correctly) and using that knowledge to identify pictures with the selected initial sound. Koala Phonics is suitable for all kids who are beginning their English Literacy learning and for any kid who requires intervention for articulation of speech sounds. How to Play: Children work through levels which are in a progressive order from the most commonly used/easiest letters, to the less common/more difficult sounds. The sound is first modelled with a video clip showing the player how to say the sound. This is an necessary step in the mini game as it is necessary for your kid to see how the mouth could look when they form the particular sound. Encourage your kid to say the sound with the model on the video. Children then play a short mini game where they identify all the things that begin with that sound. When the level is finished kids are rewarded with a easy memory match game.
