It helps students remember the priority, or Order of Operations, used to solve expressions involving strings of numbers and operators. It stands for: (P)arenthesis (E)xponent (power) (M)ultiplication (D)ivision (A)ddition (S)ubtraction - Algebraic expressions are entered using either of two ways: Freehand (using an internal keyboard) or Tool generated. - A SHOW ME feature provides a step by step analysis of the solution utilizing the SHUNT YARD algorithm. If the score is lower (i.e., completed faster) than the current record, the student is notified, his/her name is requested and the fresh time replaces the previous Best Time. - A GRADE SCREEN includes a line by line listing which contains the trouble set, the student's answers and a symbol indicating a right (✔) or wrong (✘) reply.
