And this is even more real when you don't use any apk for Fb at all but just the browser, and yet wish to hold updated. I frankly hate this: why would you have to check for updates yourself when you should receive automatically notified whenever a notification from your Fb acc arrives, just as iPhone players do?I decided to solve this problem for my own convenience, and so this is where this apk chimes in: a lightweight and quick application to receive notifications from Fb, what you decide, at the interval you decide and reported as you decide. Nothing else, just as plain and easy as effective! Select between general notifications, personal messages, mate requests, happenings, birthdays, pokes, online mates and lost friendships and decide how to view the notifications: * directly in the apk, with the ability to like/comment/share/reshare/RSVP; * begin it in the official Fb apk; * begin it in FriendCaster (Gratis or Pro) if installed; * begin it in Seesmic, if installed; * begin it in Fb Stream for Android device, if installed; * begin it in the browser (full view, Touch or WAP ver); * or just begin any another apk you have installed (just opening the main activity of apk, no custom behaviour)The service can be started automatically at boot if you wish, and a 1x1 widget is provided as well to explicitly request fresh notifications could you wish to. 1x1, 2x1 and 4x1 widgets are also accessible to present counters of unread notifications. (NOTE: the widgets will NOT work if you move the apk to SD). Notifications can be received in the notifications bar and as popup dialogs (by also unlocking and/or waking the screen, if important). Heather Jackson: Assist I still can't authorise my apk therefore I can't access any assist menu. I did follow the links on your site but these gave me error messages. A Google User: Perfect tiny apk.. Fb had to slay all 3rd party apks, F U Fb, Notifications work perfectly. I have it trigger the web browser and the browser it's faster than the original FB apk. Even works better than mate caster in fact mate caster gives me comm errors with Fb sometimes but MB notifications works every time. I have tried others but always end up going back to dependable MB notifications. It's also light on battery and uses tiny memory. U can also select not to be notified by mini game invites and another notifications u don't wish. Dark them, yay :-)
