Join NOAA’s Office of Ocean Exploration and Research LIVE as we discover the deepest reaches of the ocean from NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer. This apk allows you to stream video live from our remotely operated car on the seafloor (at depths of up to 6,000 meters or 3.7 miles) directly to your mobile device. Join scientists from around the globe as they discover the deepest, darkest reaches of our planet’s latest unknown frontier. Hear them discuss their findings and watch as real discoveries unfold. The apk also provides info on the place of NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer and updates about our dives. Even as the importance of deep places of the ocean in our daily lives continues to increase, most of our knowledge of the ocean lies in shallower waters. Our deep-ocean knowledge remains limited and, in a lot of instances, we are left “flying blind” when it comes to places such as management, regulation, and resource use in deep-water places. NOAA’s Office of Ocean Exploration and Research is the only federal organization currently dedicated to exploring our unknown ocean.
