  A Google User: I use both this and SoundHound Both apks do the same thing, but each one has its powerful suits. I've found that Shazam has a much more diverse database in terms of international / more rare melody. It was able to successfully locate the artist / song name from a greek cd and a japanese cd that was playing. Soundhound came up with no results found.Soundhound does seem to do better with locating results faster of "top 40" melody.
